Job Title: Junior Desktop Support Engineer Location: Gurgaon Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: 2 years Required immediate joiners (Can able to join by mid of December) Mode of interview 1st round will be virtual 2nd round mandatory Face to face round in Gurgaon location. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT support team in Gurgaon. The candidate will be responsible for providing first-level technical support, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, assisting users, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations. Key Responsibilities Provide L1 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and basic applications (MS Office, browsers, email clients, etc.). Handle network connectivity issues (LAN, Wi-Fi, basic router/switch configurations). Support users via phone, email, or in person , and log issues in the ticketing system. Assist with system upgrades, patch installations, and antivirus updates . Perform routine maintenance such as system health checks, backup checks, and device installations . Coordinate with senior engineers or vendors for unresolved issues. Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure adherence to IT policies. Required Skills & Qualifications Diploma/Graduate in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Basic understanding of: Windows OS and MS Office Hardware components and troubleshooting Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) Strong communication and customer-service skills. Ability to learn quickly and follow processes. Preferred (Good to Have) Certification such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, or Microsoft MCP . Experience with any ticketing tool (ServiceNow, Jira, Fresh service, etc.). Basic knowledge of Active Directory (user creation, password reset). Work Environment On-site role based in Gurgaon . May require rotational shifts depending on business needs.
