Senior Backend Developer Job OpportunityA talented and experienced Senior Backend Developer is required to join our core engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in backend systems, software design patterns, and modern programming languages.About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled Senior Backend Developer to lead the development of scalable and efficient backend systems using Java 11+, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing microservices, APIs, and domain models that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesBackend Architecture & MicroservicesDesign and develop robust backend systems using Java 11+, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate.Create scalable APIs for hotels, flights, bookings, payments, and user systems.Develop domain models, state machines, queues, caching layers, and workflows.Implement idempotency, retries, consistency guarantees, and fault tolerance.Search, Pricing & Booking FlowsBuild low-latency services for search, filtering, availability, and pricing.Integrate with internal pricing engines and caching systems.Work on booking flows requiring transactional correctness and reliability.IntegrationsIntegrate with external travel suppliers, hotel partners, GDS/NDC APIs.Integrate with payment gateways (Razorpay, Stripe, PayU, UPI).Handle API authentication, rate limits, SLA constraints, and failover logic.Performance, Reliability & ObservabilityImplement circuit breakers, fallbacks, rate limiting (Resilience4J).Optimize APIs for high throughput and sub-200ms latencies.Work with logs, metrics, dashboards, and distributed tracing.Collaborate with DevOps on AWS deployments, CI/CD, and scaling.Team LeadershipReview code, support junior engineers, and enforce best practices.Drive technical decisions, architecture reviews, and sprint planning.
