Data Scientist - Credit Risk ExpertAbout this role:We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Data Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our analytics department, you will be responsible for developing and validating models that predict credit risk and portfolio performance.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, with expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions that drive business growth and profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and validate predictive models for credit risk and portfolio performanceCollaborate with risk, product, and marketing teams to design data-driven credit policies and limit strategiesAnalyze large-scale datasets to extract actionable insights for portfolio health monitoringCommunicate complex findings to both technical and business audiencesRequirements2+ years of experience in credit card, consumer lending, or portfolio risk spaceProven experience in LTV modeling, risk-reward trade-off, and portfolio profitability optimizationHands-on proficiency in Python or R for statistical modeling and SQL for data extraction/manipulationExpertise in predictive modeling (logistic regression, decision trees, gradient boosting, survival analysis)Experience with credit bureau data, scorecards, and portfolio forecasting techniques and familiarity with U.S. credit systemsEducational QualificationsDegree from a top-tier institution; particularly in a quantitative field (e.g., computer science, data science, engineering, economics, mathematics, etc.)Why Join UsWork on end-to-end credit portfolio analytics driving real financial outcomesExposure to U.S. credit card portfolios and data-driven risk strategyCollaborate with cross-functional teams across risk, marketing, and product to shape growth and profitability
