We are seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Specialist to join our team. This role involves collaborating closely with data and reporting teams to ensure seamless migration of data from Teradata to BigQuery.The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years' experience in data engineering and be proficient in GCP – BigQuery, Cloud Storage, SQL, and Power BI.This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement efficient data pipelines.Key responsibilities include:Designing and developing new tables, views, and queries in BigQuery to support migrated reportsConducting QA validation to ensure data accuracy and performance parity post-migrationCollaborating with the BI and infrastructure teams to optimize data pipelines and ensure seamless integrationTroubleshooting and resolving issues related to query performance, permissions, or connectivityThis is a 100% remote position with standard daily overlap with EST.As a Data Migration Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our migration initiative.
