We are seeking a skilled Automation Developer to join our team. As an Automation Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable automation solutions using Workato.This role involves working with cross-functional teams to manage deployment lifecycles and version control. You will follow best practices for testing, release management, and documentation of integrations. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with security and governance policies in integration development.The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in API integrations, webhooks, and automation workflows. Hands-on experience integrating with SaaS-based applications like Salesforce, Workday, Slack, Google Workspace, NetSuite is also required. Proficiency in data transformation, JSON/XML processing, and scripting (JavaScript, Python, SQL, or Ruby) is necessary.You will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and IT to understand automation needs. You will provide training and guidance to junior engineers on Workato best practices. The ability to stay updated with Workato's latest features and industry best practices is essential.Key responsibilities include:Designing and developing scalable Workato integrations and automation solutions.Implementing and managing Workato recipes, connectors, and APIs to integrate various SaaS-based applications.Developing custom Workato connectors where necessary to support integration needs.You will collaborate with the team to streamline data workflows across Salesforce, Workday, Slack, Google Workspace, NetSuite, and other SaaS-based applications. You will perform data transformations, validations, and enrichments within Workato recipes. Effective error handling, retry mechanisms, and logging are crucial for ensuring robust integrations.A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Certification in Workato Automation Pro is a plus. If you have experience in enterprise automation projects, ERP/CRM integrations, or workflow automation, it's a significant advantage.Required Skills:4-6 years of experience in WorkatoStrong expertise in API integrations, webhooks, and automation workflowsHands-on experience integrating with SaaS-based applicationsProficiency in data transformation, JSON/XML processing, and scriptingExperience in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing integrations for performanceKnowledge of authentication methods and security best practicesUnderstanding of IT governance, change management, and DevOps principlesStrong problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to work independently or in a teamPreferred Skills:Workato Automation Pro certificationFamiliarity with AI-powered automation, chatbot integrations, or RPA toolsPrior experience in enterprise automation projects
