The role will focus on developing and optimizing SQL-based data processing logic, supporting ETL and reporting workloads across hybrid cloud platforms (Redshift, Databricks, Azure Fabric, and AWS RDS), and ensuring smooth, reliable release cycles in partnership with our Tier II and onshore engineering teams. The ideal candidate is an independent, hands-on developer with strong SQL skills, performance-tuning experience, and the ability to work across multiple data environments with minimal supervision. SQL Development & Optimization Develop, enhance, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models across Redshift, Databricks SQL, and SQL Server (T-SQL preferred). Support cross-functional teams with query tuning and database performance troubleshooting. Design and build data processing logic for audit, adoption, and operational reporting frameworks. Data Processing & ETL Development Build and maintain ETL workflows integrating data from multiple cloud and on-prem sources. Participate in pipeline performance tuning, error handling, and validation routines. Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data reliability, completeness, and refresh consistency. Release & Operational Support Oversee SQL and data pipeline releases through Azure DevOps / CICD workflows. Work closely with Tier II support to resolve technical issues and provide detailed root-cause analysis. Contribute to continuous improvements in release of velocity and operational stability. Reporting & Audit Framework Support the Audit and Adoption Reporting framework, assisting with Power BI or data model updates. Ensure data definitions and metrics are aligned across reporting environments. Collaboration & Documentation Collaborate with onshore engineers, product leads, and analysts to translate functional requirements into optimized SQL solutions. Maintain clear documentation for SQL logic, data flow, and deployment processes. Proactively identify areas for automation, simplification, and performance gains. Required Skills & Experience 5–7 years of strong SQL development experience Proven track record of query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning . Hands-on experience with ETL / data pipeline design in hybrid cloud environments (Databricks, Redshift, AWS RDS, or Azure Fabric). Familiarity with CICD and release management using Azure DevOps or similar tools. Exposure to BI/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently. Strong communication skills for cross-time-zone collaboration.
