Job OverviewThe Senior CAD Designer is responsible for creating, developing and reviewing detailed technical drawings and models for complex engineering projects. This role requires mastery of AutoCAD and related design tools, close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and adherence to quality standards.Main ResponsibilitiesTechnical Drafting & DesignProduce and review detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings including layouts, sections and schematics.Project DocumentationPrepare and maintain precise design documentation throughout all project stages.Model CoordinationCollaborate with engineering teams to integrate drawings into multidisciplinary models.BIM & Preferred ToolsUtilize Revit, Navisworks or other BIM tools when required, providing support for design coordination.Quality VerificationEnsure all drawings meet project requirements, industry standards and internal quality procedures.Design UpdatesIncorporate mark-ups, feedback and design changes efficiently, ensuring updated documentation is issued on time.Technical Support & MentorshipAssist junior engineers by providing training on software tools, drafting standards and internal workflows.Client InteractionSupport discussions with clients to clarify design details and ensure alignment with expectations.ComplianceAdhere to international and local drafting standards, safety codes and project-specific design guidelines.Approve and release AutoCAD drawings under supervision of the Lead Engineer.Validate drawing accuracy and alignment with engineering specifications.Lead internal audits and drawing reviews when required.Make decisions within the scope of project guidelines.Evaluate discrepancies, potential delays or conflicts to the Lead Engineer.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, Architecture or a related field (required).Advanced certifications or training (AutoCAD Professional, Revit Certification etc.) strongly preferred.Skills and KnowledgeExpert-level proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D).Working knowledge of BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks or equivalent.Strong understanding of construction drawings and multidisciplinary design workflows.Able to read, understand and interpret engineering specifications.High attention to detail, accuracy and precision.Command of documentation control and drawing management processes.Able to manage multiple packages simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
