Position Description Business Division: CSM AgChemDepartment: OperationsLocation: Jambusar/PanoliPosition Title: Operations Excellence Site RepresentativeLevel: Junior/Middle ManagementReporting To: Lead Operations ExcellencePosition Purpose The Operations Excellence Site Representative is responsible for driving & executing Operation Excellence activities to improve operations and business processes at assigned site. The role is also responsible to implement strategic models to transform current business process and create a continuous improvement culture in the organization. Strategic Responsibilities Operational ResponsibilitiesMonitor and implement Operational Excellence systems / projects in DMTs and AMTs to improve productivityIdentify opportunities to increase operational efficiency (workflow, systems, material usage, cost) and report to leadershipIdentify areas of obstruction / breakdowns in the given OE plan to plants and rectify the issues by implementing trouble shooting tools, SPC tools etc.Coordinate formation and working of Focused Improvement Teams as per need and ensure their success is monitored on regular basisImplement systems on site for Operational Excellence based on established practices and standards for the organizationCollaborate with production and quality departments at the site and initiate sustainability focused process improvements to exceed customer expectationsDrive site specific activities related to, but not restricted to:o   Autonomous Maintenance Teams and Daily Management Teamso   Continuous Improvement Processo   Constitute Focused Improvement Teams and monitor their performanceo   Assess the process being followed in all DMTs and AMTso   Ensure predictive & preventive maintenance schedules for critical equipment's to increase machine uptime & equipment reliabilityo   Develop alternate approach for improvements in productivity parameters in plant i.e. – why-why analysis, SPL, Abnormalities studies, KPOV study etc. for improving operation efficiencyPerform benchmarking studies and implement best practices in all functional areasPerform day to day administration of OE functionsEnsure planning and execution of new business process initiativeProvide technical support to other functions on Operational Excellence processesMaintain operations excellence budget; establish timelines; provide support to management teamTrack financial performance and reports on quantifiable goals and objectivesEnsure achievement of cost saving initiatives to achieve targeted savings in time frameManage the administrative requirements of record keeping, research, calendar management, and institutional reporting to funders Financial Responsibilities People ResponsibilitiesEnsure safety & high productivity at the workplaceFacilitate initiatives for training need identification and building requisite skills & competencies through systematic training & skill-upgradation initiatives for the team     Actively drive, in conjunction with the Senior Management Team, the performance management process of the teamRecognize & reward excellent performers & affirm key contributions of employees toward the achievement of goals & objectives of the teamInspire & motivate employees through demonstrated commitment to PI's values, vision & mission and active participation in various team engagement activities Education Qualification BE - Chemistry or Mechanical/ or any discipline Work Experience years, out of which 6 - 8 years should be in capacity as Lead taking care of Operational Excellence activities Industry to be Hired from Pharmaceuticals/ Agrochemicals/ Consultancy Services Functional CompetenciesDemonstrated ability to execute Operational Excellence initiatives across the organizationAbility to plan, execute and ensure that OE targets are rolled out in the organization as per management expectationsAbility to train people on Operation Excellence across levels from Junior to Senior LevelAbility to present the findings in a clear and concise mannerAbility to understand technical issues related to chemical plant and provide productivity enhancement solutionsGood command over productivity/Process improvement tools and execute the same in OE activitiesGood command on tools like 5S, TPM, WCM, Fish Bone analysis, PERT, etc.Knowledge of Six Sigma, TQM, Minitab, SPC tools desirable Interaction Complexity and Team Work Interaction FrequencyPurpose of InteractionInternal: Head Operations, Site HeadAs required Discuss operational excellence initiatives and benchmarks
