Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Microsoft Database Administrator (MCDBA). The ideal candidate will have the latest Microsoft Certified DBA certification and relevant experience in managing enterprise-level MSSQL databases (2012 or above). This role will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability, and performance of our database systems.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances and database systems.
Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime.
Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access controls, data encryption, and auditing.
Plan and execute database backups and recovery strategies to safeguard against data loss and ensure business continuity.
Design and implement database schemas, tables, indexes, and views to support application requirements.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries, stored procedures, and functions for improved performance.
Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as index defragmentation, statistics updates, and database integrity checks.
Stay updated on the latest database technologies and best practices, incorporating them into database management processes as appropriate.
Document database configurations, procedures, and guidelines for reference and training purposes.
Requirements:
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) certification or equivalent.
Proven experience in administering enterprise-level MSSQL databases (2012 or above).
In-depth knowledge of database management concepts, principles, and best practices.
Proficiency in SQL query optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of database security principles and practices.
Experience with database backup and recovery solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
