Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced professional to take on the role of Senior Accountant with expertise in financial accounting, preferably with a background in property and real estate.Monthly Management Accounts Preparation: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet for multiple properties, aligning with company accounting policies and procedures.Business Partnering & Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with Finance Managers in the UK and Operations teams to guarantee the precision of monthly management accounts, analyze financial results and variances, provide detailed explanations and address queries to enhance business understanding, communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to clarify discrepancies and improve financial reporting processes.VAT Returns: Prepare and review VAT returns for the properties in compliance with local tax regulations.Property-Focused Financial Analysis: Support the financial management of a portfolio of properties, including a new fund with four properties and a Spanish property, work closely with local teams to ensure that all financial and operational aspects are accurately reflected in the financial accounts.Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience is required, with preference given to candidates with experience in property or real estate accounting.Language Skills: Intermediate Spanish proficiency (reading and writing) is essential, especially for the Spanish property.Technical Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles, P&L, Balance Sheets, and VAT returns, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
