📌 Job Title: Database Reliability Engineer (MySQL / Cloud DBA)


Job Function: Infrastructure / Engineering


Location: Bengaluru, on-site.


Experience: 4–6 years


Start Date: Immediately


✅ If someone has strong MySQL/NoSQL DBA skills + Linux + backup/replication/HA + on-call support + basic cloud exposure, they can do this job.


Key Skills:

  • Strong expertise in MySQL / NoSQL database administration
  • Cloud databases (AWS RDS, Aurora)
  • Backup & recovery, replication, HA, performance tuning
  • Linux system administration
  • Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Puppet, Chef
  • Monitoring tools: Grafana, Nagios, Prometheus
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, multicast, broadcast)
  • Version control systems (Git)



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and resolve database-related tickets (Jira/Freshdesk) and production incidents (on-call support).
  • Monitor and maintain MySQL/NoSQL databases to ensure availability, security, and performance.
  • Implement and manage replication, backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies (on-premise & cloud).
  • Troubleshoot database performance issues and support developers with database queries and optimisations.
  • Design and implement high availability (HA), scalability, and archival strategies for databases.
  • Administer cloud databases (AWS RDS, Aurora) with a focus on security and compliance.
  • Work with monitoring tools (Grafana, Nagios, Prometheus) to track system health and performance.
  • Use DevOps tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Git, Kubernetes, Docker) for deployment, automation, and configuration management.
  • Apply networking knowledge (TCP/IP, UDP, Wireshark, tcpdump) for troubleshooting and system performance.
