Software Design ArchitectThe key responsibilities of this role include defining the overall software design architecture for motor control units, developing strategies such as Field-Oriented Control (FOC), Direct Torque Control (DTC), sensorless control, and torque/speed regulation.This position plays a critical role in ensuring that software systems are robust, efficient, and scalable.Key Responsibilities:Software Architecture Design: Develop the end-to-end software architectural framework for motor control units.Strategy Development: Develop and implement motor control strategies such as FOC, DTC, sensorless control, and torque/speed regulation.Algorithm Design: Design and implement algorithms for inverter control, PWM modulation, current/voltage sensing, and thermal management.Collaboration: Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize software systems for embedded platforms.Functional Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with functional safety standards (ISO 26262) for motor control software.Model-Based Development: Lead model-based software development and simulation using MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent tools.Interface Definition: Define interfaces between motor control software and vehicle-level systems.Optimization: Optimize software systems for real-time execution, computational efficiency, and fault tolerance on embedded systems.To succeed in this role, you will need a deep understanding of software systems, electrical motors, and power electronics. Additionally, strong experience in C/C++ programming, DSP/MCU platforms, and real-time embedded systems is required.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.8-12 years of experience in software development for automotive or industrial applications.Deep knowledge of software design patterns, architecture principles, and system integration.Strong experience in software testing, validation, and verification.Knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety and experience designing ASIL C/D compliant software systems.
