Senior Network Automation Engineer

We are looking for someone with experience in network automation using Python in a large-scale environment, along with strong knowledge of switching and Layer 3 protocols (BGP, ISIS, MPLS), network automation using REST APIs, and Linux OS.Network Engineer, Automation ResponsibilitiesDrive initiatives to enhance efficiency through tooling improvements in the pre-deployment domain for Backbone, Edge, and OpticalCollaborate with internal and cross functional partner teams to define and automate optimal workflows for network pre-deployment activitiesAutomation and integration into existing tooling eco-system which involves planning and pre-deployment activities (such as design bootstrapping, EDP generation, BOM creation etc)Proactively find gaps that impact multiple teams/orgs, come up with the execution plan, drive the project, and influence other teams to implement initiativesWork with partner teams, understand their challenges, help them find a solution natively or lead effort working with cross functional teams to deliver systems/platforms/toolingWork with developers and program managers to design and prioritize tooling enhancements and fixesHelp with roadmapping to identify & address key challengesPerform detailed troubleshooting and engage with cross functional teams to fix system/tooling issuesDrive requirements with cross functional teams to align our internal tooling effortsMinimum Qualifications10+ years of experience Automation experience in the Networking domain in large scale networksKnowledge and experience with Optical, Layer 2, and Layer 3 technologiesKnowledge and experience in PythonKnowledge and experience with Rest APIsKnowledge of Linux OS/networkingExperience with network devices (routers, switches, load balancers)Experience working within a global team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited supervision
