The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax related decisions and activities in the organization. You will help us stay tax-compliant and up-to-date on new tax laws.
Taxation KRA (60% role)
Monthly TDS liability computation
Quarterly TDS return filing
Working with external consultants for:
- Filing of quarterly Direct Tax returns
- Preparation and filing of Monthly & Annual GST return
Preparation of replies for the notices from respective GST and Direct tax authorities
Setting up of data warehouse and Information Management framework
Researching on Direct Tax positions and working closely with tax authorities and external advisors
Develop a good understanding of company’s business models, products & finances and evaluate direct tax planning opportunities across functions
Identifying changes in direct tax laws and evaluating and communicating the impact of the same to various stakeholders
Managing Direct Tax & Indirect Tax compliance (including TDS, Advance Tax, Annual filings etc.) ensuring accurate and timely compliance
Draft legal submissions to be filed before the tax authorities including assessments, appeals etc.
Reviewing tax accounting provisioning, interactions with internal and statutory auditors
Work closely with the Finance, Business and Ops team to keep a track of new commercial deals, products or business arrangements and discuss tax implications with Finance/ Tax Head
Work on tax advisory and advocacy matters as an in-house tax expert.
Review of end to end tax related controls suggest tax improvements/ changes.
Work with tax authorities on any new audits, assessments etc and should be able to draft tax replies in-house in response to day to day notices received by tax authorities.
Finance Operations KRA (40% role)
Work with operations team for monthly Partner AUM reconciliation
Computation and recording of Income of respective partner’s loan portfolio
Monthly Partner’s commission computation
