Our mission is to provide high-quality security solutions that empower businesses to protect their digital assets and focus on growth.Role DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Freelance OpenShift & GCP Platform Engineer to support the deployment, scaling, automation, and ongoing management of OpenShift clusters and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring solutions, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within GCP environments. This role involves close collaboration with development, security, and operations teams to ensure a secure, scalable, and high-performing platform.Key ResponsibilitiesDeploy, configure, and manage OpenShift clusters, including version upgrades, patching, scaling, and cluster lifecycle management.Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using the oc CLI, OpenShift Web Console, and Kubernetes-native tooling.Design and implement CI/CD pipelines integrating tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and related tools to ensure reliability and performance across GCP and OpenShift environments.Troubleshoot platform and application issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver timely resolutions.Implement security best practices, including RBAC, policies, network security, and compliance within Kubernetes/OpenShift.Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration of GCP resources.Collaborate with development, operations, architecture, and security teams to support application readiness and platform optimization.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and configuration references.Manage lifecycle operations including control plane/worker node upgrades, certificate renewals, and platform maintenance.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong hands-on experience in OpenShift cluster management, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.Proficiency with oc CLI, YAML manifests, Operators, Deployments, StatefulSets, Routes, and ConfigMaps.Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or similar).Expertise in monitoring/observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, or similar tools.Solid knowledge of GCP cloud services, IAM, networking, load balancers, and cloud resource management.Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.Experience troubleshooting complex platform-level issues and conducting root cause analysis.Understanding of security, RBAC, container security, and Kubernetes/OpenShift best practices.Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Ideal Candidate ProfileSelf-driven engineer comfortable owning the full lifecycle of OpenShift clusters.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.Versatile across cloud, DevOps, and container orchestration technologies.Detail-oriented with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and security.
