We are building India's first multi-layered drone ecosystem from DIY drone kits to advanced swarm and hybrid UAV technologies empowering the next generation of innovators through hands-on aerospace and robotics learning.Role OverviewWe are seeking a passionateElectronics & Communication Engineer Internto join ourSwarm Drone R&D Divisionin Nagpur. The selected candidate will work closely with our engineering team to design, test, and optimizecommunication algorithmsthat enable coordinated flight and data exchange across multiple drones in real time.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and simulate wireless communication protocols for multi-agent (swarm) drone networks.Implement and test data transmission, synchronization, and mesh networking algorithms using ESP32/LoRa/Bluetooth/Wi-Fi modules.Collaborate with the software and flight control teams to ensure robust inter-drone communication under real-world conditions.Assist in setting up ground communication links , telemetry modules, and performance benchmarks.Contribute to documentation, debugging, and iterative optimization of the communication stack.Required SkillsStrong fundamentals in communication systems, signal processing, and embedded electronics .Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (ESP32, Arduino, STM32) and wireless modules (LoRa, RF, Wi-Fi, BLE) .Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or C/C++ for testing and simulation.Basic understanding of network topologies, latency management, and synchronization in distributed systems.Passion for drones, UAVs, and real-world embedded experimentation.Preferred / Bonus SkillsPrior work on self-driven electronics or drone projects .Knowledge of MAVLink, ROS, or Gazebo simulation environments .Experience with PCB prototyping or IoT systems .Demonstrated ability to work independently and solve open-ended technical challenges.What You'll GainHands-on experience in swarm drone communication systems and flight testing .Mentorship from Aasma Aerospace's R&D team working on cutting-edge UAV technologies.Opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on performance.
