Job Title: Firmware/ Senior Firmware Engineer_Android FrameworkJob OverviewCrestron is looking for individuals who can contribute towardsDesign, Develop and Enhance Crestron’s Next Generation Products such as Collaborations Ecosystems, Touch Panels, Unified Communication devices and moreWell versed and hands-on with AOSP framework, Android Middleware and Application layersDevelop software with clear layers of platform agnostic and platform dependent codeJob ResponsibilitiesIn this role at Crestron India, Bangalore, you will be responsible forDesign and implementation of various components on AOSP framework, Android Middleware and Application layersCustomizations in AOSP framework, Android Middleware and Application layers with a good system level understandingKnowledge of SELinux and capable of making changes accordingly for new/existing componentsExpert in various Android debugging techniques and toolsDesign, develop, code, test, and debug complex systems.Provide multiple solutions to technical problems and challengesProvide technical documentation such as design documents etc.Maintenance of existing products - new feature implementation and feature enhancements.Implement Industry best practices in embedded and firmware development.Diagnose, triage, and resolve any defects arising out of Quality Engineering process.Technical Skills & QualificationMinimum bachelor’s degree in engineering. (Preferably in Computer Science and Engineering)Minimum 3-8 years of relevant experience in embedded domain (with Android and Linux expertise)Knowledge in building projects using Agile/SCRUM methodologies.Strong Analytical skills.Experience in Android Application and AOSP, Java, C++ (Advanced)Experience of System level understanding to make changes in Android FrameworkExperience in Multithreading, IPC, socket programmingExperience in MDEP is an added advantage.Soft SkillsMust have strong written and verbal communication skills as you will be working with cross-functional teams.Must possess strong problem-solving skills.Operate autonomously with minimum directionMust be a self-starter with the ability to master new technology concepts quickly.About CrestronCrestron is the world's leading manufacturer of advanced control and automation systems, innovating technology and reinventing the way people live and work, offering integrated solutions to control audio & video systems.
