Senior Mortgage Underwriter PositionThe role of a Senior Mortgage Underwriter involves evaluating loan applications and determining creditworthiness.At least 5 years of experience in US mortgage underwriting is necessary for this position.This job requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills.The ability to make sound judgments and communicate effectively with clients is also essential.This Senior Mortgage Underwriter will be responsible for reviewing complex loan documents, analyzing credit reports, and making informed decisions about loan approvals or denials.Main Responsibilities:Reviewing complete loan documents and providing approval or denial decisions.Analyzing credit reports to verify trade lines, derogatory accounts, public records, and credit reconciliation.Completing thorough income calculations, including salaried income, business income, retired other income, and rental income.Reviewing collateral and property valuation.Verifying assets, including bank account statements, retirement accounts, mutual funds, and other investments.Conducting credit analysis based on borrower's income, asset, liability, and collateral (4C of Underwriting) to determine credit worthiness.Validating and processing loan documents on behalf of a mortgage lender organization.Evaluating evidence of borrower's willingness and ability to repay the obligation.We are seeking candidates with:A minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience in US mortgage.Solid knowledge of US residential mortgage.Exposure to underwriting processes and guidelines.Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment skills.
