Job OverviewThe Inventory Management Specialist will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring smooth production operations.This role is crucial in maintaining material availability, optimizing costs, and streamlining supply chain workflows.Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and identify areas for improvement.Develop and implement effective procurement strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and manage vendor relationships.Prepare Purchase Orders (POs), coordinate with finance for payments and invoice clearance, and ensure timely delivery of materials.Manage inventory levels, maintain cost sheets, quotations, and vendor comparisons to align with production requirements.Coordinate logistics for inbound/outbound shipments, ensure packing material availability, and support timely dispatches.Implement safe handling practices, proper storage methods, and FIFO systems to maintain inventory integrity.Organize warehouse storage areas, racks, bins, and shelves with proper labeling and categorization of components.Collaborate closely with Production, R&D, QC, and Finance teams to support material planning, timely issuance, and assembly requirements.Monitor low stock levels, highlight critical material shortages, procurement blockers, and assist in BOM verification and consumption tracking.Prepare daily/weekly stock reports, maintain purchase records and vendor files, track pricing history, and report inventory discrepancies or ageing stock to management.About the Role:The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
