Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Technologist, ASIC Development Engineering to join our innovative team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and validating cutting-edge Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) for next-generation storage products. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the quality and performance of our storage controllers throughout the development lifecycle.Lead the validation of ASICs for storage controllers in both pre-silicon and post-silicon phasesDevelop and implement comprehensive validation plans for new ASIC designsCreate and maintain validation firmware using C/C++ for various environments, including FPGA and simulatorsPerform SOC bring-up, feature validation, and debugging of ASICs and storage drivesConduct failure analysis to identify root causes of issues in tests or productsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ASICs into storage productsParticipate in customer meetings to understand validation strategies and requirementsDevelop and execute test cases based on customer scenarios and product specificationsProvide technical support for production and assist in resolving field issuesGenerate and present validation status reports to project and program managersContribute to the continuous improvement of validation processes and methodologies QualificationsBS/MS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field12-17 years of experience in ASIC validation and debuggingProficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems and Python for test automationStrong knowledge of storage protocols, including eMMC, USB, PCIe, and NVMeExpertise in electrical validation of storage protocolsHands-on experience with lab debugging tools such as debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopesDemonstrated ability in failure analysis and root cause identificationExperience in test application development and performance measurement toolsSolid understanding of ASIC design principles and digital logic designFamiliarity with FPGA development and hardware description languages (e.g., Verilog, VHDL)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environmentExperience with SSD firmware development and validation is a plusKnowledge of compliance and interoperability procedures for storage productsProven track record of working on complex ASIC projects from conception to production Additional Information Sandisk thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
