Founded by visionary entrepreneurs with a track record of success, our goal is to make high-quality education accessible and affordable for all.Job Summary:We're seeking an exceptional Backend Software Engineer to join our team and play a key role in designing, architecting, and scaling the backend systems that power our global learning platform. As a critical member of our engineering team, you will work closely with our CTO, CEO, and product team to drive innovation and deliver cutting-edge solutions.Main Responsibilities:Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js/TypeScript (Express.js/NestJS) to support our growing user base.Build and maintain robust APIs and microservices, including caching layers, background job workers, and distributed components to ensure optimal system performance.Develop efficient SQL & NoSQL data models to ensure seamless data retrieval and storage.Collaborate with our product team to identify requirements and design end-to-end system architecture for major modules.Ensure system performance, reliability, observability, and security compliance across the platform.Built and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and cloud infrastructure to enable smooth releases.Closely collaborate with our founders, product, and frontend teams to ship high-impact features quickly and reliably.Mentor junior engineers and promote strong engineering principles, coding standards, and best practices within the team.Qualifications & Skill Set:We're looking for someone with:4+ years of experience in backend development with deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js/NestJS.A strong command over API design, microservices architecture, distributed systems, and modular backend frameworks.Practical experience with database design and both SQL and NoSQL systems.Built or maintained scalable production-grade systems with real user traffic, preferably in B2C startups.Exceptional debugging, problem-solving, and architectural thinking skills.A strong knowledge of CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, containerization, and DevOps-oriented workflows.Excellent communication skills and ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.Preferred Industry Experience:B2C product companiesHigh-growth startupsEdTech domainWhat We Offer:Market-leading compensation (experience & fit-based).Meaningful ESOPs for early team members.Opportunity to build a globally scaled product from the ground up.A fast-growing, high-impact environment with steep learning and career growth.Direct access to top-tier founders and a high-performing engineering team.Let's Talk:Our lean hiring process includes: Introductory Call → 2 Technical/Product Rounds → Final Offer
