Job Description:
We are seeking for a Director/Data Platform Architect to build the data platform from the scratch for our global clientele. The ideal candidate should be a technology enthusiast with a strong passion for migrating or building data platform.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and architecture of our data platform infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, select technologies, and develop scalable and resilient architecture.
- Oversee the implementation and deployment of data platform solutions, including data storage, data processing, and integration components, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and security protocols.
- Manage data platform access including cloud storage, databases, data warehouses, data lakes and other cloud services.
- Manage data storage solutions, including data pipeline, ETL, databases, data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud storage services, optimizing performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement data processing and analytics capabilities, including batch processing, real-time streaming, and data analytics frameworks, to enable advanced data analysis and insights generation.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field.
- Proven track record with at least 14+ years of experience in data engineering, dataOps for a large-scale data platform serving multiple business lines and products, including hands-on design and implementation experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing and scaling engineering teams.
- Deep knowledge and rich experience in data ingestions, including streaming technology and systems.
- Strong experience in data management and analytics tools and technologies, such as SQL, NoSQL databases, MS SQL Server, Distribute PostgreSQL, Citus, SSRS, SSIS, Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, Kafka, and cloud-based data lake platforms.
- Strong expertise in designing and building scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytics solutions using cloud services, ETL tools, Snowflake etc.
- Proficiency with data platform architecture, design, data dictionaries, multi-dimensional models, objects, star and snowflake schemas as well as structures for data lakes, data science, and data warehouses.
- Experience in migrating data from existing warehouses or transactional data stores (SQL Server) to cloud data platform(AWS/Azure).
- Experience in software development with programming languages like Python, C#, or Scala.
