Job OverviewAs a seasoned social media expert, you will develop and execute a platform-specific content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, etc. to elevate the cannabis brand's online presence.Create high-quality, educational content that adheres to cannabis advertising regulations: reels, posts, stories, infographics, blog snippets, and campaign creatives.Maintain a consistent brand voice aligned with cannabis culture and regulations, ensuring seamless communication with customers and partners.Content Creation & EngagementBuild and engage with an online community of cannabis enthusiasts, industry operators, and advocates through strategic content and influencer partnerships.Respond to customer inquiries, comments, and messages while maintaining compliant communication practices.Campaigns & Growth StrategiesPlan and execute campaigns for product launches, events, partnerships, and awareness drives, leveraging growth opportunities without violating cannabis advertising policies.Monitor platform changes and adapt content strategies to maximize reach and engagement.Performance Metrics & InsightsTrack key performance indicators: reach, impressions, follower growth, engagement, CTR, traffic, conversions, and provide actionable recommendations.Develop data-driven insights and reports to inform future content decisions.Required Skills & Experience:2–5 years of social media experience, with 1–2 years in the cannabis industry.Strong understanding of METRC, seed-to-sale workflows, cannabis product types, and consumer personas is beneficial.Experience with design tools, social media scheduling platforms, and video content creation.Excellent writing skills for educational and storytelling content.Understanding of community-sensitive topics: compliance, potency, strain education, medical vs. adult-use differences.Preferred Qualifications:Experience managing multiple cannabis brand accounts across various markets.Knowledge of 280E limits, dispensary operations, or wholesale cannabis workflow.Influencer management, collaborations, and brand ambassadorship experience.Ability to work cross-functionally with cultivation, operations, and sales teams.What You'll BringA passion for cannabis culture, wellness, and industry evolution.A data-driven approach with creative instincts.Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.Ownership, accountability, and eagerness to grow the brand authentically.
