Are you a skilled QA tester seeking a new challenge?We're looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Tester to join our team and contribute to the success of our digital inspection platform. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing web applications and experience with setting up test automation frameworks from scratch. You should be comfortable configuring test environments, CI/CD pipelines, and test data management without guidance. A systematic approach to testing, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesTest new features in our Rails MVC web application and mobile appsDevelop and execute comprehensive test plans and test casesIdentify, document, and track bugs through resolutionPerform regression testing for releases and hotfixesValidate user workflow, data gathering, and quality reportsEnsure cross-browser and responsive design compatibilityVerify data integrity across inspection workflowsTest Automation & Setup ExperienceHands-on experience setting up Cucumber/Capybara from zeroExperience establishing test environments without guidanceRuby scripting for test automationCI/CD pipeline configuration for tests (GitHub Actions preferred)Test environment provisioning and maintenanceGit version control for test scriptsTechnical KnowledgeUnderstanding of Ruby on Rails applicationsBasic HTML/CSS/JavaScript knowledgeChrome DevTools proficiencyBug tracking tools (JIRA or similar)Test management tools experienceLinux/command line proficiency for environment setupDocker/containerization basics for test environmentsDomain & ProcessProperty/construction industry knowledge (preferred)Agile/Scrum methodologyUnderstanding of inspection workflowsDocument/report generation testingFile upload/download testingUser permission and role-based testingDevelopment MindsetSelf-starter who can build testing infrastructure independentlyQuality ownership mentalityUser-centric thinking - think like an inspector using the appAttention to detail with systematic approachStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent bug reporting and documentationProactive communication about risksComfortable testing mature/legacy features
