The Designated Person Ashore plays a vital role as the interface between management and vessels, ensuring effective implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS).As the Company's representative, this individual monitors safety and pollution prevention aspects of shipboard operations.Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the SMS in accordance with ISM Code requirements.Conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.Visit ships and conduct internal audits to verify compliance with ISM Code requirements.Ensure all non-conformities, observations, and near misses are reported and addressed.This position requires a Certificate of Competency as Master or Chief Engineer, a DPA Certificate, and relevant sea service experience. Key skills include leadership, decision-making, communication, risk assessment, auditing, and compliance monitoring.RequirementsAt least 10 years of sea service, including 2 years as Master or Chief Engineer on tankers.3-5 years shore experience as a DPA.BenefitsRemunerations will be commensurate with experience. The successful candidate should possess strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office and QHSE software systems.
