We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Big Data/Hadoop Administrator.This individual will be responsible for deploying and administering Hortonworks, Cloudera, Apache Hadoop/Spark ecosystem, installing Linux Operating System and Networking, writing Unix SHELL/Ansible Scripting for automation, and maintaining core components such as Zookeeper, Kafka, NIFI, HDFS, YARN, REDIS, SPARK, HBASE etc.The ideal candidate will take care of the day-to-day running of Hadoop clusters using Ambari/Cloudera manager/Other monitoring tools, ensuring that the Hadoop cluster is up and running all the time. Additionally, they will maintain HBASE Clusters and capacity planning, maintain SOLR Cluster and capacity planning, and work closely with the database team, network team and application teams to make sure that all the big data applications are highly available and performing as expected.Responsibilities:Deploy and administer Hortonworks, Cloudera, Apache Hadoop/Spark ecosystemInstall Linux Operating System and NetworkingWrite Unix SHELL/Ansible Scripting for automationMaintain core components such as Zookeeper, Kafka, NIFI, HDFS, YARN, REDIS, SPARK, HBASE etc.Maintain HBASE Clusters and capacity planningMaintain SOLR Cluster and capacity planningWork closely with the database team, network team and application teamsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field3-5 years of experience in Big Data/Hadoop AdministrationStrong understanding of Linux administration, Hadoop Infrastructure and Administration, SOLR, Configuration Management (Ansible etc)Experience in Python and Shell ScriptingKnowledge of Hadoop core components such as Zookeeper, Kafka, NIFI, HDFS, YARN, REDIS, SPARK etc.Knowledge of HBASE ClustersWorking knowledge of SOLR, Elastic Search
