Senior Linguistic SpecialistWe are seeking a seasoned Senior Linguistic Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing linguistic expertise for the development of natural language understanding (NLU), automatic speech recognition (ASR), and text-to-speech (TTS) solutions.About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for defining linguistic rules, guidelines, and quality frameworks for Emirati Arabic. They will also mentor Senior Linguists and Linguistic Engineers within the language pod.This includes owning end-to-end linguistic quality and correctness for the assigned language, developing linguistic guidelines, rulebooks, and standards for annotation and evaluation, reviewing complex linguistic cases, escalations, and edge-case exceptions, overseeing NLU, ASR, and TTS linguistic evaluations, conducting weekly calibrations, and ensuring quality stability.The candidate will also support test set creation, adversarial case identification, and diagnostics.Key ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities of this role include:Developing and maintaining linguistic resources and toolsMentoring and training junior linguists and engineersReviewing and improving linguistic quality and correctnessCollaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of linguistic solutionsRequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:Advanced degree in linguistics, computer science, or a related fieldProven experience in linguistic engineering and NLPStrong knowledge of linguistic theory and computational linguisticsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsBenefitsThis role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for career growth and professional development.
