This role will focus on building and optimizing large-scale ad serving, measurement,and targeting systems that drive over $500M in revenue. You’ll be part of a collaborativeenvironment that blends data engineering, AI/ML, and distributed systems to power LG AdSolutions’ global CTV advertising platform.The Senior Software Engineer II will work closely with Product, Operations, and otherEngineering teams to design, implement, and deploy scalable solutions across our ad techstack. This is a hands-on role that provides opportunities to lead impactful projects, mentorpeers, and work with cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.Responsibilities: ● Design, develop and deploy scalable ad serving and measurement systemssupporting large data volumes and high throughput.● Implement and optimize big data applications for performance, reliability andcost-efficiency.● Apply AI/ML methodologies to measure ad effectiveness and causal impact.● Drive end-to-end ownership of projects from requirement gathering and designthrough to delivery, monitoring, and maintenance.● Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering growth and innovation through codereviews, design guidance and continuous learning.● Champion best engineering practices and promote a culture of quality, operationalexcellence and accountability within the team.● Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations and other Engineering teamsto align on requirements and delivery timelines.● Work on integrations with internal and external platforms to enhance targeting andmeasurement capabilities.● Contribute to system architecture design, long-term technical vision, and roadmapplanning.Requirements:● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or relevant experience in Computer Science,Engineering, or related field.● 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining large-scale, high qualitysoftware systems.● Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Scala, Go, Python,C++ or JavaScript along with a strong knowledge of fundamental ComputerScience concepts.● Experience working with technologies like Spark/Databricks, MySQL,Redis/Elasticache, ReactJS, Kubernetes and AWS.● Ability to independently understand, contribute to and refactor large codebases.● Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.● Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively withcross-functional teams.Preferred:● Prior experience in scaling distributed computing and big data systems.● Proven track record of technical leadership in complex projects.● Experience working in a distributed global team environment and mentoring juniors.● Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and model deployment.
