About the Role: Material Master Data Lead
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Material Master Data (MDM) Lead to join our team. As the Material Master Data Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and governance of material master data within ofi . You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, IT professionals, and business stakeholders, to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of material master data across systems and processes. Your expertise in data governance and will be crucial in driving the overall quality and usability of material master data, enabling efficient procurement, inventory management, manufacturing, supply chain management and trading processes.
Key responsibilities
Define and implement material master data standards, policies and procedures. This includes working closely with the business stakeholders across procurement, supply chain and manufacturing to establish data ownership roles and responsibilities.
Establish data quality rules and KPI metrics to measure and improve the accuracy and completeness of material masters. Provide regular reports on KPIs to data owners.
Conduct regular data quality assessments to identify and address data inconsistencies and anomalies. Drive data quality initiatives, including data cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment, to improve the overall quality of material master data.
Oversee the creation, maintenance, and retirement of material master data records. Provide guidance and support to business users in managing material master data and resolving data-related issues.
Cross-functional collaboration with business teams to understand their data requirements, IT to ensure integration across systems, and data analysts to derive meaningful insights.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the data management processes.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelors in data management, supply chain management, information technology, or a related field.
5-8 years’ experience in material master data management, data governance or related roles. Experience of working with leading Master Data Management (MDM) systems.
Good knowledge of data governance frameworks and processes, best practices, and tools. Proficiency in data analysis, data quality assessment and data cleansing techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and build relationship with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering solutions to complex business challenges.
Ability to work with global cross-functional teams.
Experience of working in SAP ERP environment will be an added advantage.
