We are seeking a seasoned data platform administrator to implement and maintain our Databricks environment on cloud services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and security of our Databricks platform.Responsibilities:Platform Administration: Develop and execute strategies for efficient workspace setup, user and group management, access control, and security configurations.Operational Support: Provide expert technical support to data engineering, data science, and application teams. Troubleshoot service issues, resolve platform-related problems, and perform restores/recoveries.Cluster Management: Design, install, configure, and maintain Databricks clusters and workspaces. Monitor and manage cluster performance, resource utilization, and platform costs.Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce robust access controls and security policies to safeguard sensitive data. Ensure adherence to relevant data governance and regulatory requirements.Integration: Manage connections between Databricks and other data sources like Snowflake. Optimize data pipelines and workflows.Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for platform provisioning and routine tasks using Terraform.Requirements:Experience: 3+ years of production support experience in Databricks administration.Technical Expertise:Terraform, AWS/Azure/GCP cloud services, Databricks administrationAWS IAM, VPC, private endpoints, firewalls, S3 knowledgeMLflow, Workflows, Databricks Asset BundlesDatabricks REST API: For automation, scripting, and integrationdbx CLI: For CI/CD integrationDelta Live Tables (DLT): For managing streaming and batch pipelinesSQL + PySpark skills for debugging and supportPreferred Skills: Databricks certification
