Job Description: Python Developer / Quant OperationsLocation : NoidaDepartment : Trading / Quantitative ResearchAbout the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Python Developer / Quantitative Trading Operations Analyst to join ourquantitative trading team. Based in Delhi and reporting directly to the Head of Quantitative Trading in ourLondon office, you will pla y a critica l role in building and maintaining the firm’s data and pricing infra structure.This is a unique opportunity to work closely with front -office quants and traders in London, implementingmodels and ensuring robust data pipelines for real-time decision-making.About the FirmMET Traders is a proprietary trading firm with a strong presence in global derivatives markets. The firm is aleading liquidity provider in Short-Term Interest Rate (STIR) products and credit index futures, recognisedfor its market expertise and reliable execution.As part of its growth, MET Traders is expanding into new areas, with a particular focus on quantitative andsystematic trading strategies. By combining deep market knowledge with advanced technology and research,the firm is broadening its reach and building the next generation of trading capabilities.Key Responsibilities • Data Infrastructure & Monitoring o Develop, maintain, and optimize data ingestion pipelines from Bloomberg and other market data providers. o Integrate and manage metrics into Grafana via Prometheus, ensuring real-time monitoring and alerting for trading systems. o Ensure reliability, accuracy, and performance of data services used by the trading desk. o Suggest and develop improvements to current data distribution systems. • Model Implementation o Translate and implement pricing and risk models developed by the London quantitative research team into production-quality Python code. o Collaborate with quants to validate and back test models before deployment. o Optimize model performance for real-time trading environments. • Collaboration & Support o Work closely with London-based developers, quants, and traders to understand requirements and deliver timely solutions. o Provide support for critical data and model-related issues, including troubleshooting and performance improvements. o Document systems, processes, and code for transparency and maintainability.Qualifications & Skills • Education: o Bachelor’s or Ma ster’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline. • Technical Skills: o Fluent English is essential. o Strong proficiency in Python, including data manipulation libraries (pandas, numpy) and numerical computing. o Experience with APIs and data integration, ideally including Bloomberg API. o Familiarity with Prometheus/Grafana for monitoring and alerting. o Knowledge of databases (SQL / NoSQL) and data engineering concepts. o Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative software development practices. o Exposure to financial markets, derivatives, and pricing concepts is a strong plus. • Soft Skills: o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. o Ability to work independently while collaborating across global teams. o Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. o Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work under time pressure.Preferred Experience • Previous experience working in a trading firm, investment bank, or fintech environment. • Hands-on experience with real-time market data systems. • Some knowledge of another coding language, ideally C#. • Understanding of quantitative finance, risk, and PnL attribution.What We Offer • Opportunity to work directly with a London trading team on cutting-edge quantitative models. • Exposure to global financial markets and real-time trading systems. • Competitive compensation package. • Career growth in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
