Job Title:Sr. Data Engineer PositionJob DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of our data pipelines supporting the modernization and migration of our Operational Data Store (ODS) to AWS. This role is pivotal in implementing the migration of data from legacy systems, developing real-time streaming applications, and ensuring the data needs of microservices and shared service teams.This position involves leading the development of data pipelines for batch and real-time data ingestion into AWS, as well as implementing the migration of data from legacy systems to target AWS data stores.Develop and optimize streaming data applications using Kafka, Kafka Connect, and/or AWS Kinesis/EventBridge.Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, candidates must have a strong background in data engineering, with expertise in designing and implementing scalable and efficient data pipelines. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala is essential, as well as experience with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark and Hadoop.Candidates should also have a good understanding of cloud-based data platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), and be familiar with containerization using Docker.
