High-Performance Backend Engineer

Join a fast-growing startup and contribute to scalable backend systems as a highly technical team member. Work across multiple layers of the stack, including backend, cloud, DevOps, frontend, and desktop applications. Collaborate with experienced engineers on meaningful projects in healthcare technology. Job DescriptionDesign, build, and maintain high-performance backend services using Python (FastAPI and Flask).Develop cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud Run for containerized deployments, Cloud SQL for managed databases, and Cloud Storage for object storage.Implement authentication and authorization using JWT and OAuth2, and security best practices across services.Contribute to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation using Docker, Terraform, or similar tools.Set up and improve logging, monitoring, and error tracking, and troubleshoot production issues.Support frontend components with Next.js and React when needed.Collaborate on Golang-based projects such as parsers, system tools, or desktop utilities. Required Skills and QualificationsStrong proficiency in Python with FastAPI and/or Flask.Proven track record of building and deploying production-grade backend systems.Solid SQL expertise and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.Understanding of database indexing, transactions, and performance optimization.Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, ideally including Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and IAM concepts.
