Scientific graphic designers work closely with researchers, writers, and clients to create high-quality visual representations of complex research.Key Responsibilities:Create compelling graphical abstracts that encapsulate the essence of a scientific study.Read and comprehend scientific manuscripts to identify key visual elements and concepts.Develop storyboards to outline the visual narrative, ensuring alignment with scientific content and client objectives.Generate rough sketches to illustrate initial visual concepts, collaborating closely with researchers and clients to refine and finalize the visual representation.Review peer and freelancer outputs to ensure they meet client expectations and are delivery-ready.Requirements and Qualifications:Graduate or PhD degree in a STEM field (preferably Biology/Biotechnology/Medicine/Chemistry/Physics/Engineering).3-5 years of experience in scientific graphic designing, communicating science and complex research into visually engaging output.Advanced skills in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).Experience in 3D designs using Blender is an added advantage.Familiarity with scientific publishing and science communication landscapes.Selection Process:One technical assessment followed by one interview round (virtual). Candidates must demonstrate their ability to create high-quality visual representations and effectively communicate complex research.
