We are seeking a Senior Material Research Associate with advanced expertise in polymer chemistry and material separation processes. This role is pivotal in addressing key challenges in improving the purity of recycled materials, specifically cellulose and plastic, through both chemical and mechanical processes. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the value of recycled materials for industrial applications.


Key Challenges and Responsibilities:


Cellulose Purity Enhancement:


  • Improve the purity of cellulose by developing and refining chemical and mechanical processes to remove impurities, such as microplastics, metallic contaminants, and super absorbent polymers (SAP).
  • Lead research and development efforts to optimize purification techniques and achieve high-purity outputs.


Plastic Purity Improvement:


  • Enhance the purity of recycled plastic by implementing efficient separation processes to remove contaminants like cellulose, SAP, metallic impurities, etc.
  • Collaborate on process optimization to maximize material recovery and quality.


Industrial Application Focus:


  • Drive innovation to unlock new industrial applications for high-purity recycled materials, ensuring their value in various industries.
  • Provide expertise in material separation and purification methods to improve product quality and meet commercial standards.


Leadership and Collaboration:


  • Offer technical guidance to the R&D team on advanced material separation and purification techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external experts to solve technical challenges and implement advanced solutions for improving material purity.


Qualifications:


  • Master's or PhD in Polymer Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in polymer chemistry, material separation, and recycling processes, with an emphasis on improving the purity of recycled materials.
  • Expertise in chemical and mechanical separation processes, particularly in dealing with contaminants like microplastics, SAP, and metallic impurities.
  • Proven track record of enhancing the quality of recycled materials for industrial applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop practical, innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide teams and collaborate across departments.
