Director of International Accounting OperationsRole OverviewThe Director of International Accounting Operations leads global accounting operations from an offshore location, supporting North America and other regions. This role oversees the full accounting cycle, including close, reconciliation, consolidation, and reporting, while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with US GAAP. The position partners closely with onshore finance leadership and plays a key role in standardizing processes, driving operational efficiency, and supporting system transformations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead international accounting operations across multiple regionsOversee general ledger, accounts payable, payroll coordination, treasury support, and cash managementManage global close and consolidation, including consolidated financial statements and management reportingDevelop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsCoordinate and support external audits and ensure audit readinessEnsure compliance with US GAAP and applicable international accounting standardsDrive ERP and accounting system transformation initiativesEstablish best practices and promote continuous improvement across accounting operationsLead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, building a culture of high performance and accountability.Provide cross-functional support and handle ad hoc finance projectsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CA, MBA, or equivalent preferred15+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership rolesStrong technical accounting expertise with US GAAPProven experience building and managing offshore accounting teamsDemonstrated success working in collaborative, team-based settingsProven ability to improve processes and scale operationsStrong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
