Job Description: Informatica ETL Developer

Location: Bangalore, India
Experience Required: 4 to 7 Years

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Informatica ETL Developer with expertise in Informatica IICS, PowerCenter, and ETL processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing ETL solutions to manage and transform complex data sets. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. ETL Development and Maintenance:
• Design, develop, and implement ETL workflows and mappings using Informatica PowerCenter and IICS.
• Optimize ETL processes to ensure high performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs to resolve data-related issues and ensure seamless operations.
2. Data Integration and Transformation:
• Extract, transform, and load data from multiple data sources into centralized systems.
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Ensure data quality and integrity across all ETL processes.
3. Collaboration and Documentation:
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and design ETL solutions.
• Document ETL processes, mappings, and workflows to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
4. Performance Tuning and Support:
• Conduct performance tuning of ETL workflows and database queries.
• Provide ongoing support for production ETL processes, addressing issues as they arise.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IICS.
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data modeling, and data warehousing principles.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments for script creation and job scheduling.
• Experience:
• 4–7 years of experience in ETL development and data integration using Informatica tools.
• Proven track record of delivering scalable and efficient ETL solutions.
• Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their integration with Informatica.
• Understanding of big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
