Senior Azure Data Platform Architect

Job OverviewAs a senior Azure Data Platform Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms on Azure. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in Databricks, DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to drive business growth and innovation.Key ResponsibilitiesDatabricks Platform Architecture:Set up and configure Databricks workspaces, clusters, schemas, RBAC, and security to ensure seamless collaboration and data governance.Define and enforce best practices for cluster policies, workspace standards, cost control, and job orchestration rules to optimize performance and reduce costs.Automate Databricks configurations using Terraform/Bicep to increase efficiency and scalability.Implement observability through failed job alerts, cost and usage insights, and performance reporting to drive data-driven decisions.ADF Monitoring & Automation:Review and assess pipeline quality to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.Automate extraction of ADF metrics for failures, slow pipelines, and cost insights to inform strategic decision-making.Configure integration runtimes and automate ADF operations to streamline processes and enhance productivity.DevOps (CI/CD) Enablement:Implement CI/CD pipelines for Databricks and ADF using Azure Repos/GitHub + Azure DevOps to ensure controlled promotion from DEV → TEST → PROD.Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC):Use Terraform/Bicep to automate deployments of data product resource groups, ADF, Key Vault, Databricks, and basic networking components.Data Platform Governance:Develop and implement data platform governance strategies to ensure long-term success and sustainability.
