Position: Mechanical / Equipment Engineer


Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra


About the Role

The Mechanical / Equipment Engineer will be responsible for designing, selecting, and overseeing the procurement of mechanical equipment and machinery.


Responsibilities

  • Design, select, and oversee procurement of mechanical equipment and machinery (compressors, pumps, vessels, piping, etc.).
  • Prepare equipment specifications, datasheets, and technical bid evaluations.
  • General knowledge of pressure vessel, storage tank, and rotating equipment design.
  • Production, purification, compression, and storage of green hydrogen, green ammonia and its derivatives.
  • Review vendor documents and ensure compliance with codes and project requirements.
  • Provide engineering support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot equipment-related issues and ensure reliability.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5–10 years of experience in mechanical/equipment engineering, preferably in hydrogen, ammonia, or related process industries.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PDMS, etc.).


Required Skills

  • Mechanical engineering expertise.
  • Experience with procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of compliance and safety standards.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in hydrogen and ammonia industries.
  • Familiarity with advanced modeling software.
