Designation Design Head Flexible Packaging Division

Educational Qualification Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or Mechatronics

Work experience At least 15 years in design and execution of Flexible packaging machinery such as

Form fill seal machines and / or multi track sachet packaging machinery / stick

packaging machinery.

Compensation Up To 36,00,000 CTC Pa – Negotiable based on candidates Skills & Experience.

Location Hyderabad


Responsibilities

As the Design Head for Innomation’s flexible packaging division, you shall lead a team of design engineers through the following activities.

  • Participate in strategic planning along with the management in identifying market opportunities and freezing overall machine specifications to achieve product – market fit.
  • Conceptualizing equipment, structuring, and performing preliminary cost-benefit analysis.
  • Developing preliminary 3D designs and coordinating with cross functional teams to validate design intent and optimize.
  • Prototyping and validation of concepts / conceptual structures to verify design intent.
  • Detailed engineering calculations, selection and optimization of machine elements.
  • Detailed engineering design and final design verification by cross functional teams including DFMA.
  • Optimizing costs and ensuring design meets budgetary and performance requirements.
  • Detailed manufacturing drawings and preparation of Master Copy. Creation and maintenance of detailed documentation of designs, specifications, and project progress.
  • Participate in project management activities, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Provide guidance to cross functional teams during project manufacturing and execution to ensure that the final project objectives are met.
  • Refine designs over time to improve machine performance, increase flexibility, decrease costs, and cater to a wider range of market needs.


Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • CAD Proficiency: Expertise in CAD software
  • Engineering Analysis: Strong understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational
  • Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and other simulation tools.
  • Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals: In-depth knowledge of mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and material science.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Experience with prototype development and testing methodologies.
  • Manufacturing Processes: Familiarity with machining, fabrication, and assembly techniques.
  • Intimate familiarity and in-depth knowledge of construction and working of standard flexible packaging machinery.


Design Skills

  • Creative Problem Solving: Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in design and documentation to meet specifications and standards.


Project Management

  • Project Planning: Experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with other departments (e.g.) manufacturing, quality assurance) to ensure design feasibility.


Communication Skills

  • Technical Writing: Strong skills in creating clear documentation, reports, and specifications.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
