Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Data Entry Specialist to join our team in Chandigarh. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering and maintaining claims, patient information, and payment remittance details into our billing systems. Your work will ensure the timely and efficient processing of medical claims and financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, proficiency in data entry, and a basic understanding of medical billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Entry:
  • Enter and update patient demographics, insurance details, claims information, and payment remittances into the billing system with a high level of accuracy.
  • Claims Processing:
  • Review and input claims data, ensuring completeness and compliance with billing requirements.
  • Documentation:
  • Verify and organize documentation related to patient records, remittances, and claims. Maintain proper filing systems for easy retrieval of information.
  • Error Checking:
  • Identify and correct data discrepancies. Coordinate with team members to resolve issues and ensure the accuracy of billing entries.
  • System Updates:
  • Work with the billing software to input new data and update existing information as needed.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure all data entry processes comply with applicable regulations, including privacy standards such as HIPAA.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with billing, coding, and claims resolution teams to facilitate smooth operations and resolve any data-related concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline.
  • Strong typing speed with exceptional accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism.
