Job description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Controls and Reporting Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our finance team to ensure high-quality invoicing to clients, perform detailed revenue analysis, and maintain comprehensive revenue management information systems (MIS). This role requires a strong background in finance, preferably within the investment banking sector, and experience in managing profitability and financial controls.
Skill Set Required:
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial analysis techniques.
• Knowlge of financial software and data visualization platforms.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in revenue management and profitability analysis.
• Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience in invoicing and billing, preferably within a financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial terminology.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience in bank reconciliation. • Methodical and procedural approach to problem solving.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new concepts and technologies.
Scope of Work:
• Collaborate with the finance team to establish and maintain effective financial controls and reporting processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing to clients, addressing any discrepancies or issues that arise. • Conduct in-depth revenue analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain revenue MIS to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
• Work closely with the finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor and analyze profitability metrics to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Process invoices for investment banking transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Review and reconcile client statements to identify discrepancies.
• Research and resolve billing inquiries from internal and external clients.
• Generate reports on billing activity and outstanding receivables.
• Adhere to all internal control procedures related to invoicing and billing.
• Communicating and coordinating with sales and support teams globally
• Disseminating knowledge and process updates within the team
• Documentation of process manuals/SOPs
Education and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, with a focus on controls and reporting, preferably within the investment banking industry.
