Job Title: Land Development EngineerAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Land Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will play a critical role in assisting project engineers with design and drafting of site servicing plans, site grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, pre- and post-development drainage plans, and calculations for stormwater management.This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare preliminary and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or other computer-assisted design/drafting equipment.Coordinate project drawings with project engineers and others.Ensure that projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner.Work under the direction of senior engineers, collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality results.Provide support in the design, drafting, modification, and evaluation of civil engineering for land development projects.RequirementsMinimum of 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably from a consulting engineering office environment.Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or related qualifications.Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, strong computer software skills in MS Word and Excel, and PDF viewer.Familiarity with various Municipal & Regional design and drafting standards and guidelines in Ontario, Canada.Experience in preliminary and detailed design drawing preparation associated with land development projects, including site servicing, site grading, stormwater management, and floodplain management.Independent, organized, and motivated team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects in a fast-paced turnaround environment.Skills in HEC-RAS for floodplain analysis and water resource modeling is a bonus.BenefitsAs a valued member of our team, you will have opportunities for growth and professional development.
