Cyber Security Engineer Position OverviewThis role entails designing, implementing and maintaining security frameworks to safeguard computer networks, applications and data. The Cyber Security Engineer will identify vulnerabilities, respond to security incidents and ensure adherence to industry best practices and regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:Security Architecture & Implementation: Design, deploy and manage cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection and SIEM tools.Threat Detection & Incident Response: Monitor security alerts and logs to detect suspicious activities, investigate security incidents and lead response efforts.Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests, identify risks and collaborate with IT/engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities.Policy, Compliance & Governance: Develop and maintain security policies, procedures and standards, ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).Identity & Access Management: Manage IAM tools and enforce least-privilege access controls, oversee multi-factor authentication, single sign-on and privileged access management solutions.This position requires a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, threat analysis and mitigation techniques.
