What we are looking for
Role: Cognos Admin
Experience Range: 6 – 8 Years
Location: Chennai
Must Have:
- Administering, configuring, tuning, and maintaining Cognos BI 11.xx in non-prod and Production environments.
- Advanced skills using Cognos Report Studio, Query Studio, Active Reports, and Business Insight Advanced.
- Expert-level knowledge of Cognos SQL, Cognos SDK and triggers.
- Expertise in the preparation of the architecture and design of data integration strategies and the implementation of data stores.
- Managing the architecture, capacity, security, and system performance optimization (both Cognos and Windows), making technical recommendations as needed
Good to Have:
- Researching, assessing, and implementing Cognos best practices
- Monitoring server resource utilization and administering servers to maintain system efficiency
- Utilizing third-party tools to support administration and monitoring of system resources
- Administering a large number of schedules and events to ensure best performance
- Creating and maintaining Cognos user roles/permissions, working closely with the Active Directory Team
- Analyzing Cognos and other server/system logs daily basis to identify and proactively resolve those issues.
Essential:
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and proprietary databases including OLAP cubes.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills.
- Experience training end users or technical support staff to use programs.
- Knowledge and experience with Motio.
Minimum Qualification:
•15 years of full-time education
•Minimum percentile of 50% in 10th, 12th, UG & PG (if applicable)
