Position: Electronics Design Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Design Engineer with expertise in Electronics/Electrical circuit design, component selection and troubleshooting. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the functionality and reliability of electronic systems by overseeing component choices, designing circuits, and resolving signal interference and malfunction through innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Electronic Circuit Design - Design, develop, and optimize electronics/electrical circuits, schematics, and work with vendors for most optimized PCB layouts that meet project specifications and standards.
Electronic Component Selection - Research, evaluate, and select electronic components, including but not limited to microcontrollers, sensors, ICs, passive components, and connectors, considering project requirements, performance criteria, and cost-effectiveness.
Establish relationships with suppliers and manage component procurement.
Utilize CAD software to create and modify circuit designs and PCB layouts.
Conduct simulations, prototyping, and validation testing to ensure design robustness and functionality.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving - Identify and diagnose electrical signal interference, malfunctions, and performance issues within electronic systems.
Develop effective solutions and implement corrective actions to resolve issues, ensuring the reliability and functionality of the systems.
Implement real-time data acquisition, processing, and communication protocols.
Signal Integrity and Testing - Ensure signal integrity and reliability by conducting signal integrity analyses and simulations.
Develop and execute comprehensive testing and validation procedures to verify the functionality and performance of electronic systems.
Documentation and Reporting - Maintain thorough documentation of designs, schematics, PCB layouts, and troubleshooting processes.
Prepare detailed technical reports, design documentation, and user manuals for internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with FMEA process and certifications added advantage
Continuous Learning and Innovation - Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in electronics design and troubleshooting.
Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance product performance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
Proven experience in electronic component selection, electrical circuit design, PCB layout, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in CAD software for schematic and PCB design.
Familiarity with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, Modbus etc.) and wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.).
Experience with microcontrollers and microprocessors
Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Basic embedded programming skills required to debugs electronic circuits
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
