Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Data Architect to design and implement data models that support analytical, business intelligence, warehousing, and other business use cases for the data platform.The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in data modeling, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. They will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting data requirements, creating and maintaining data models that meet non-functional requirements, and producing and maintaining metadata and documentation.About This Role:Elicit, analyze, and document data requirements.Create and maintain data models that conform to industry standards.Ensure models meet performance, extensibility, change capture, understandability, and maintainability requirements.Produce and maintain metadata and documentation.This role requires a deep understanding of data modeling principles, as well as experience working with data platforms and tools. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality solutions and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.Responsibilities:Elicit and analyze data requirements through interviews, workshops, and source data analysis.Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date data models using industry-standard techniques and tools.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data models meet business needs and technical requirements.Develop and maintain metadata and documentation to support data models.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions and meet business objectives.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience in data modeling, data architecture, or related field.Strong technical skills in data modeling, including data warehouse design, ETL processes, and data quality.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.Passion for delivering high-quality solutions and meeting business objectives.Bonus Points:Experience with data platforms, such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics.Familiarity with data modeling tools, such as ERwin Data Modeler, PowerDesigner, or Oracle Data Modeler.Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
