Job OverviewWe are seeking a Technical Data Specialist to oversee the development and maintenance of our data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in ETL/Data Pipeline Testing and API Testing. Familiarity with MDM Testing is a plus. A good understanding of data flows, strong SQL skills, and knowledge of Informatica tools such as IDMC/IICS, CDI, and MDM SaaS are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesETL / Data Pipeline Testing (Essential)Perform end-to-end testing of ETL pipelines across cloud/on-prem environments, ensuring seamless data integration and transformation.Validate source-to-target mappings, complex data transformations, and SCD logic, guaranteeing data accuracy and completeness.Conduct data validation, reconciliation testing, and ensure adherence to predefined quality standards.Test Informatica IDMC/IICS CDI mappings, taskflows, and ingestion patterns, optimizing performance and efficiency.Develop test scenarios using mapping documents, BRDs, and ETL workflows, maintaining high-quality deliverables.API Testing (Essential)Test REST/SOAP APIs using Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI, validating request/response payloads, authentication flows, error handling, and negative scenarios.Collaborate with integration teams to test upstream/downstream interfaces, ensuring smooth data exchange.Validate JSON/XML schema structure, status codes, and pagination logic, adhering to industry standards.MDM Testing (Desirable)Test MDM match/merge rules, survivorship, trust settings, workflows, and golden record creation, enhancing data quality and integrity.Validate MDM SaaS configurations, data cleansing, and DQ rules (if applicable), promoting accurate and reliable data management.Perform validation across landing, staging, base, and cross-reference layers, ensuring comprehensive data coverage.Collaborate with IDD/Data Steward use cases (optional), contributing to data governance and stewardship.Quality Assurance & ProcessDevelop test plans, test cases, test data, and maintain QA documentation, facilitating effective testing and issue resolution.Perform functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing, identifying and addressing defects promptly.Log defects, track them to closure, and participate in defect triage with the dev team, ensuring seamless collaboration.Provide QA sign-offs and ensure quality of deliverables, upholding high standards of excellence.
