Job Title: Senior Data Engineer – High Frequency Trading

Key Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture and Engineering:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance data pipelines to handle real-time and historical data processing.
- Build and optimize data storage solutions for efficient retrieval and analysis of large datasets.
- Implement robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to manage complex data workflows.
- Python Development:
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable Python code for data processing and analytics tools.
- Develop APIs and microservices to support data integration with trading systems and analytical platforms.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best coding practices and standards.
- Data Science Collaboration:
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers and data scientists to implement machine learning models and analytical tools.
- Develop data-driven insights and predictive models to optimize trading strategies.
- Experiment with advanced algorithms to extract patterns from large, unstructured datasets.
- System Optimization:
- Ensure low-latency data pipelines to meet the demanding requirements of high-frequency trading.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability to support global trading operations.
- Leadership and Mentorship:
- Lead a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and mentoring to foster growth.
- Drive innovation by identifying and implementing new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record in Python development and data science.
- Extensive knowledge of distributed computing systems, big data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in designing and managing relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Expertise in building real-time data pipelines using tools like Kafka, Flink, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Experience in the financial domain, particularly in high-frequency trading, is a strong advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and present complex technical concepts clearly.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
