Software Engineering RoleThis is a challenging position where you will contribute to the delivery of complex solutions by breaking down big problems into smaller, manageable pieces. You will actively participate in team planning activities and help ensure the quality and integrity of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for your team.Main Responsibilities:Contribute to the development of sophisticated software systems by decomposing intricate problems into more tractable componentsEngage in collaborative team planning processes to guarantee successful project outcomesPromote the adoption of best practices and tools within your team to improve overall SDLC efficiency and effectivenessDemonstrate independence in resolving complex technical issuesMaintain awareness of emerging technologies and assist in strategic planning to deliver impactful business solutions across multiple applicationsEmbody agile development principles and mentor junior engineers in teamwork with Product and Experience DesignProvide guidance and support to new hires and junior engineers to enhance their skills and productivityParticipate in the creation and improvement of internal libraries and toolsFoster a deep understanding of the business domain supported by the applicationsCommunicate status and concerns effectively to senior managementIdentify areas for personal growth and collaborate with peers to find innovative solutions to customer challengesCommit to meeting project deadlines, particularly those critical to the organization's success during peak seasons or when collaborating with external partnersEssential Skills and Qualifications:At least 4 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent academic backgroundDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Helm Chart to automate provisioning of cloud environments like GCP and AWSExpertise in implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) automation frameworks, including branching strategies, release deployment strategies (Blue-Green, Canary, rolling), using Jenkins, GitActions, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShiftFamiliarity with version control systems such as GitProficiency in Shell scriptingIn-depth knowledge of code versioning tools like GitAbility to design and implement efficient CI/CD pipelines using either Jenkins or GitHub ActionsCritical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skills, especially when working with remote teamsCapacity to pair program with other team membersPreferred Skills:Experience working in an omni-channel retail environmentGood working knowledge of Python, Yaml, or Shell scriptingAbility to adapt quickly to new technologies and toolsStrong communication skillsThis role offers opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic work environment.
